How the kink quiz works

You move through one card at a time and answer according to present interest—not what you have tried, what a partner wants, or what you think your identity should be. Yes counts as one point, Maybe as half a point, and No as zero. You can change an answer before finishing.

What does the kink test cover?

The 77 questions span 12 themes, including intimacy, touch, positions, toys, leading, receiving, restraint, sensation, roleplay, teasing, being watched, and adventurous fantasies. The wording describes recognizable situations instead of expecting you to know community terminology first.

What appears in your kink test results?

Your private result includes an overall curiosity score, strongest categories, personal pattern insights, and separate Leading and Receiving signals. The score measures the breadth of your current answers. It does not measure experience, morality, how “kinky” you should be, or whether you are compatible with someone.

Kink quiz or kink test—which is it?

They are two common names for the same search intent: a structured preference assessment. SharedYes uses one canonical page and one assessment for both terms. That keeps the explanation, questions, results, links, and search authority together instead of creating two near-duplicate tests.

Can couples compare their answers?

Yes, but the kink quiz starts solo. After you finish, you can send a private invitation. Your partner answers independently, and the comparison reveals only mutual Yes/Yes or Yes/Maybe matches. One-sided interests and private No answers are not displayed.

For the two-person process, read the couples kink quiz guide or use the compatibility test for couples.

How is this different from the BDSM test?

This kink test focuses on specific activities you may want to explore. The SharedYes BDSM test and BDSM quiz maps broader dynamics such as leading, surrendering, intensity, restraint, structure, service, care, and role play.

Important context before you start

A quiz result is a reflection aid and conversation starter. It is never consent, a safety assessment, a diagnosis, or pressure to act. Real consent remains specific, informed, freely given, and reversible.
